Easy Price Pro's main pricing system was started in 1990 by a builder who couldn't find an easy way of producing estimates, so he decided to produce an Excel based Workbook to include all the calculations required when estimating his building jobs. In 2001, he then joined up with his business partner (Carl) and their partners (Susan & Stephanie) to launch Easy Price Pro, a business that was to change the way builders produce quotations.
They started by using the edge of someone else's exhibition stand in order to test the market and found that the system received a lot of interest and actually sold one on the stand!
They then decided to take the next step. They created brochures, CDs and cases, display boards and stations and also tidied up the estimating system to make it into an installable program, ready for the next show which was the Homebuilding & Renovating show at the NEC in Birmingham. They sold them at £250 a copy and the show was a success.
The next show at the NEC was Interbuild and they made a bigger and better stand as well as having promotional staff and extra demonstrators to show people the system. By this time they had 3 software products to sell as well as the Scalex Planwheel pen and had developers working on the next version of their main system for pricing up new builds and extensions. This show was an absolute triumph and the start of a year that raised Easy Price Pro to a level above the other main estimating software companies that were already out there.
We now cater for not only builders and developers, but plumbers, electricians and groundworkers.
Since this time, Easy Price Pro has gone from strength to strength, opening it's second branch in Ipswich this year employing demonstrators up and down the UK and Southern Ireland, a dedicated telemarketing team, additonal developers, marketing and PR consultants as well as administration staff at their head office in Wattisfield, Suffolk.
Still to this day other software on the market is just as difficult to use which is why Easy Price Pro still fills that gap in the market.
